A few years ago our small group at church was blessed by a new couple and their little boy. Right from the start I just felt connected to them. Their son is Monkey’s age, and they are two peas in a pod.
There’s nothing greater than their giggles.
They received news that they were going to go on the craziest ride of their lives – Nathan was diagnosed with brain cancer. He was given six months to live.
That was almost three years ago.
Don’t you love it when God shows off?
Last weekend we had the honor of joining with their most loved ones in a celebration of Nathans 38th birthday. The love in the house was breathtaking.
I don’t have a clue how much longer we’ll be friends here on earth, but what I do know is they have changed me forever. Their love is a testament to marriage and their faith is a display of pure trust and dedication. It’s awe-inspiring, and contagious. Everyone in the room had this indescribable charge. There’s no doubt, Nathan is worth celebrating. Thank you Nathan, Mendy and Cameron for sharing your 38th birthday with me.
Thank you, Angie, for sharing this wonderful page with me. Nathan’s mother and my wife are sisters. It is so cool for us to see the amount of love–through your pictures–that was shared on Nathan’s birthday. God Bless all of you.
