I have never been a milk drinker. Never.
When I met Daddy he drank about a gallon of milk a day.
Because of his influence, over the years I have had milk with dinner most nights.
Then along came the Royal Crest Dairy salesman. He gave us a sample and let me tell you, I am hooked.
I love that it’s delivered in the wee hours of the morning. Long before even the earliest alarm clock (Daddy’s) goes off. It comes on a day when we don’t have school and we spend the morning being lazy. It’s the perfect start to a lazy day.
In the past, no matter how I was feeling, if we were out of milk I had to drag myself and the kids out of the house, or I had to plan on Daddy being late so he could stop on his way home. In our seven years of marriage we have only gone without milk once that I can think of, and that was due to poor budget planning, and it was years ago. Now that Monkey is here, there is absolutely no way we can go without milk. The kid might drink more then her daddy. Maybe. It’s a toss up.
We currently have four gallons delivered a week, but as I look at the half of a gallon I have left, and I calculate the hours until delivery, I am realizing I might need to bump that up to five. Five gallons of milk a week for two and half people. It’s crazy. But before you judge me, try it. It’s good. It’s not sticky and it doesn’t leave weird milk lines on your glasses. And it’s good for you.
I am in love with my milkman.
