Today was a crazy day.  But, I’ll get to that in my next post.

The reason I’ve got you all here right now is to totally pull the mom card and tell you how proud of my little soccer player I am!  Tonight was the first practice (that we were able to attend… second practice for the team) and I was so surprised at how much better she is already doing compared to last season.

I don’t know what it is about registering for Kindergarten, but ever since we did that, she’s been growing up so fast!

If you will recall, we went through a period where I thought I might have to /fkick (that means kick her out of the family for those of you who don’t play World of Warcrack) her and move on.  However, after just a couple of sit downs she has completely changed her attitude back to the sweet loving girl I’ve come to appreciate.

She has been so helpful with Caterpillar (trust me, I’ve needed help!) and she has been so polite and respectful not only to me, but to her brother as well as teachers and … well … pretty much everyone we meet.  In fact, it’s almost comical how nice she’s become, as she told the manager of Chic-fil-a that he was handsome because he had a tie on and she ‘knows compliments make people happy’.

To make a long story longer (and to cover up the fact that I didn’t have my camera with me therefore this post doesn’t have any pictures) one thing Daddy and I were talking about as we were driving to soccer is the fact that we’ve registered her for fall cheerleading (yay! My 19 years on a squad might actually be useful in some way!), and we’ve never had her in two things at the same time before.

I have done everything I can to make sure we eat more dinners than not around the table, and it seems like when we have an activity going on, we start missing meals.  Two activities was something in the past I’d refused.  So, I figured she’d just skip soccer in the fall.  But after seeing her out there today, with a lot of the same girls she played with last season, I think this fall is going to get very interesting and very busy!
