I was so nervous for Monkey’s first day of Kindie.

Not because I am nervous about the school, or her teacher. In fact, I am thrilled with both of those things.

I was just so nervous that she wouldn’t make any friends, or that she wouldn’t like it.
I know, I know. Even saying that out loud about my Monkey sounds redunkulous, but I was just so afraid.

I mean, look at how small she looks.
Afraid she’d be like me ~ socially awkward and nerdy.
But, she’s not like me. She’s like Daddy.

So fun and easy going.

And I won’t say that my day without her was tearless.

But, I did alright.

Turns out, I was ready too.
I am so proud of her! (and mama too). She will be such a social butterfly in school, she already is everywhere else. I must say after reading this post, even Aunt J teared up a little. I remember the day she was born, these 5 years went fast :/
Love you all, Aunt J
What a good post! Love the picture of her and Trav! And walking away. Good lil story Ang 🙂
